The Point’s site fee to participants is included in the above fees.
Site fees are $75 for Shipyard and Islais Creek tenants; $180 for guest artists.

SOS Business Cards
These little 2.5 in x 2.5 in cards will be available soon for artists to carry with them and hand to people they talk to. They can also be left in small stacks on coffee shop and store counters.
They will likely be available in the gallery as early as Saturday, March 14 during open hours from 1-4pm. They will also be on the bench by The Point’s office.
Note: We will NOT have full-size postcards or posters this time, as our analysis shows they weren’t cost-effective.
SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOP for Artists
STAR has engaged Jasper Wilde from Artspan to teach a social media workshop that is open to artists at the Shipyard and Islais Creek. The workshop is FREE to artists that sign-up for Spring Shipyard Open Studios. And $30 to others.

Description: Jasper Wilde is a marketing and communications specialist and practicing abstract artist who helps artists navigate the changing world of social media. In this practical 2-hour workshop, Jasper will break down how artists can use social media strategically to promote their work and grow their audience. Participants will learn best practices for posting artwork online, including image cropping and aspect ratios, how platforms display images on profile grids, and how to create promotional graphics using tools like Canva. The workshop will also explore key platform features—such as posts, stories, carousels, and video—along with a clear framework for promoting your work at different levels, from simple posting to more advanced content strategies.
