STAR provides outreach to adults in the Bayview Hunters Point community. For example, during July 2017 Tesia Blackburn taught a watercolor class for adults at the George Davis Senior Center in the Bayview. Tesia, a Hunters Point Shipyard artist, has a BFA and MA in Painting and has been a working artist in the Bay Area for over 25 years. The Point collaborated with STAR to provide all of the materials for this course.

We encourage Bayview Hunters Point organizations and individuals to contact STAR to discuss how they may offer learning opportunities to their members or the public under the skilled guidance of Shipyard artists.
